“Go big or go home.” For some it’s a saying and for others it’s a way of life. If you can relate to the latter, you’re probably that bride scouring the internet for the most singular site to have your wedding. A locale like iconic Yosemite definitely checks all the boxes.

It’s one of the prettiest of the U.S. National Parks,  popular with its recognizable beauty, but still not crowded when you go at the right times. It’s the kind of place you never forget once you’ve been there; the beauty there leaves an indelible impression. The park features valleys with sweeping granite rock faces and cliffs, sequoia trees, lakes, and meadows; it’s scenery that’s historic for a reason. With all the varieties of backgrounds to pick from, the harder choice might be deciding if you want the soft sunrise or the searing sunset view.

Summer 2023 brings the exciting news that Glacier Point Road will re-open! This road leads to two of the most stunning spots in Yosemite, Glacier Point and Taft Point. They are both ones I highly recommend. Every elopement I’ve done there has been epic. The grand views, the color contrasts, and the overall look is one you’ll love if you two are entranced by the great expanse of the outdoors.

The park is only a 6-hour, 300-mile drive from L.A. Which means it’s an effortless place to plan a weekend elopement or a micro wedding that’s a doable destination for your closest loved ones. I’m here as more than a photographer, too. I am happy to assist you from the beginning to the end of your elopement… from vendors to permits to insider info for the park.  Just pick your season (each one features a different color palette) and your background setting, and you’ll be set. If you decide this place is a must for the most memorable day of your life, know that it will be unforgettable in Yosemite

Yosemite elopements are always a special occasion, but Joslin took it to an entirely new level! Her sunrise and sunset full day adventure is a testament to the stunning beauty of the park. And let’s not forget the two wedding dresses – if that isn’t dedication, we don’t know what is! It’s clear that Joslin wanted her special day to be more than just a typical elopement, and she certainly succeeded. Waking up before the sun and staying out until the stars came out was undoubtedly worth it.
